Welcome to MY empire.

« on: August 17, 2009, 01:48:34 PM »

After being freed from the control of the Founders and their allies, the cities of Augsburg, Tours and Ulm are anxiously preparing for the return of the Carolingian peoples. Reconstruction efforts have begun with the unearthing of the Annals of the Carolingian peoples, our official history will once again be taught in the schools. Remedial classes for those who have grown up in this dark period will commence immediately.

We are preparing for the Feast of Munro, which is our new annual festival celebrating the peace brought on by our brothers from across the mighty sea. Festivities will begin once our king, the armies and the rest of our people return home.

Henceforth our capital for diplomatic service will be found in Augsburg, in the eastern part of the empire, after our former capital of Aachen and later temporary seats of government in Prague and Vienna were all destroyed in the war. Resettlement efforts have begun in the vicinity of Aachen, but the name will now be consigned to a dark chapter to be added to the Annals.

We welcome diplomats from all the friendly nations of our earth to Augsburg to await the full reinstatement of the government and ambassadorial ties. There is more than enough beer and shnitzel for all of you!

And we await the final resolution of the outstanding questions of Mainz and Shovelnose - that while not founded by us, is in the vicinity of Prague and Vienna, and the heartland of traditional Carolingia.
