Greece and Wei suffer not for Carolus Maltman, but for justice. Our friend and ally is pursued, but it is not for that pursuit that the heinous crimes committed by DribNairb and his followers have been committed. Rather, it is the intention to commit these crimes that led to the manufacture of the Maltman bogeyman.
Skarsgaardia aligned itself with, and abetted, the terrible crimes of genocide committed by the Founders. In doing this, they brought hardship upon themselves as they made themselves an obstacle of justice.
OOC: What's the in-game effect going on here? Are you subbing for him for a bit? Has he become your vassal?
Is Rennald leaving and gifting his cities to you? I'm not sure that we should be comfortable with the "little guy" of an alliance turning his cities over to the big guy as part of stepping away from the game. Suddenly those cities that were contributing to Rennald's research and industrial base are now contributing to the far more advanced Founders.
I understand and appreciate the role-play justification, but it strikes me as a very unbalancing when the "satallites" have all begun merging with the Founders. Please don't read this as being motivated purely by my in-game concerns (they are in part, of course, but I'm not even completely sure yet what the in-game actions are). I'm interested mostly in a reasonable discussion about the rules vs. the game mechanics, and can be examined hypothetically easily enough.
And if that's NOT what's going on (again, I"m not sure), well, why not discuss that scenario and come to a consensus about it?
