I am most intrigued by this concept of emancipation and suffrage.
The Words speak of a time when "a great power will bestow the gift of freedom for all". I have always known this moment will come before us on The Path, but I had always assumed the great power was The One. Perhaps I have misinterpreted this prophecy and in fact Scotland is the power.
Perhaps you would be so kind as to explain the meaning of this and teach us how to learn of it's benefits.
Perhaps. Since time immemoriam, Scotland has been a monarchy. However, with the memory of King Quotey now a distant legend, it has been many years since the throne has been occupied. As steward of the throne I have executed my duties faithfully. However, through my studies of the Greek Consitution - and their early form of representative government - I have come to understand that this was a primitive and morally dubious system of government. Why should the power of the nation be concentrated in the hands of such a priveleged few?
So we studied the Greek system of Consitutional Representation, and researched on top of this our own political theories of 'democracy' (government by the people) - reaching the inevitable conclusion that all people are created equal, with three universal and inalienable rights, to -
- liberty
- free speech
- self-determination of government (though a fair and equal vote)
.
National funds were diverted from other areas of research to develop these ideas into a practical system of government, and Scottish Democracy was born. This has boosted the productivity and happiness of our largest population centres and the towns that surround them. And from a ethical standpoint, this is the only path to a fair and moral society that any conscionable leader could follow.
Indeed, Scotland is exceedingly pleased to see that the Founders are now following this path to democracy, by studying the theories of nationhood and constitution first developed by the Greeks so many centuries ago. We urge your scholars to pursue these studies to their natural conclusion, and study our system of Democracy also. Only then will you be able to understand and adopt the theories of suffrage and emancipation which empower and legitimize any effective form of government, and will allow you to emerge into the fifteenth century as one of the world's truly civilized nations.
We wish you luck on The Path to democracy, Founders, and hope your people will one day witness the awesome power of The One true system of government, as perhaps your ancient texts have foretold.

(In the meantime we urge you to abolish slavery and refrain from any further abuses of your population. Just remember that one day you just might want them to vote for you.
