The Republic of Greece hereby demands that America close her borders with all nation aligned against the Greek people as we seek to defend the Carolingians from extermination.

For years, the soldiers of Greece's American Company have stood  guard over the American nation to protect her against the remorseless crusade of the Founders.  Recently, the Americans sought to extricate themselves from the conflict, and did so with our blessing.  We were happy revoke the American vassal status, and promised that we would nonetheless continue to support and defend America if need be.  At pressure from The Founders, America closed her borders to Greece and allowed free passage of our enemy into her land, while proclaiming their leaders' conversion to the "Path" and subservience to the Founders.

Greece will be happy to respect America's new desire to be neutral in this conflict, despite the resources we have spent protecting them, if that neutrality extends to all belligerent nations.  But we CANNOT allow a situation in which the Founders have access to the American ports so near our own lands.

Therefore, America must cancel its Open Borders agreement with our enemy.

The American people do not understand the concern about learning the truth.  We declare our neutrality and end the conflict allowing all nations equal passage in our country.  Why should we close our borders to the truth.  We have embraced it. The Founders other than a quick sail by did not bless us with their presence.   I am not sure what information they have but it is inaccurate.

The Dernish merchants guild has expressed protests that the Americans inexplicably closed borders with Aidern, a handful of years (4-5 turns) ago.

Aidern is not involved in either side of the conflict, and maintains peaceful and neutral trade with all nations.  Why are the Americans suddenly refusing our trade routes?

The Greeks continue to have no qualms whatsoever with the religions that any people choose to embrace.  We are a tolerant people and encourage religious diversity.  Our concern is instead with the economic and material support to the genocidal regime of The Founders.

Maintaining free ports and open borders for DribNairb's hordes is NOT a neutral stance.  Such a position allows the atrocity committing army to immediately be within Greek borders in their efforts to raze the rest of the continent.  Maintaining open borders with them is not and cannot be viewed as Neutral.

Greece urgently demands that America respond to the situation by closing borders with all belligerent nations until the war has ended.

Is America granting right-of-passage to military units from nations involved in the conflict, or just to non-military units?

I can categorically state that America's Open Borders agreement was granted purely for peaceful purposes. It has been used
a) To allow teaching of The Truth to those who wish to listen and
b) To ensure America was not hiding greek armies while a more permanent cease fire was agreed.

greek leaders have orchestrated this charade in order to give themselves another excuse to attack their neighbour for their own gain. The Founders have not and will not exploit America in any way and I find it bemusing that a so-called peaceful buddist nation can declare war for no good reason.
