Reports from the Council chambers are still emerging, and many are conflicting.  Also, we are yet lacking any sort of official proclamation of today's events.

What can be stated with some level of certainty is that Senator Fosse, who only came into office at the most recent election, has been appointed as the coalition leader of several minority parties (many of which have been considered marginal influences on matters of state for years).  It seems that several senators from the majority party have voted with the coalition in the recent business of appointing Greek leadership.  This vote was expected to be nothing more than a formal extension of Agaue's term, and indeed there was no overt campaign from any other party to vote instead for Fosse or anyone else.  The eventual outcome of this proceeding is uncertain, but it appears that Fosse is, at least nominally, the new leader of the Greek nation.

Rumor has it that he and Agaue have been sequestered in the latter's offices since minutes after the vote was certified.  A letter was sent to the ambassadors of Greece's allies requesting their immediate presence in the Capitol.

Greetings, Senator,

From far-away Aidern, I bear tidings of goodwill and express congratulations in your rise to power.  Those these are turbulent times, I hope under your banner the people of Greece may find peace and happiness.

We look forward to continuing our amiable trade relations with Greece.

Respectfully,

Vali Capsavian Hopewell,
Aidern
