I dont know if anyone else here plays MP through gamespy but it seems a few weeks ago at http://league.civplayers.com/ an unofficial patch was released to fix an OOS bug.

Most people online seem to now of applied this patch

"Civplayers unofficial OOS patch is live!
Posted on 2009-02-27, by CanuckSoldier
Civplayers is happy to announce that we finally have a solution to the OOS amphibious assault bug that produces an OOS consistantly. This is an unofficial patch and it will not cause a *MOD* tag, but it will cause a first turn OOS if all players do not have this patch. So please encourage all MP players to D/L and install this patch. The faster this spreads the sooner the transistion period will be over. Civplayers OOS patch"

Has anyone here applied this patch?

Im not sure how it would work if i applied it but no one else did

This is the first I've heard of this patch (and bug) myself.  I, too, do not use gamespy though.

Is there anyway you can uninstall the patch if it does give you trouble?
