War - The Mali Invasion

Military de-classifed report Part 1:

For many hours the elders and Viktor were inside the war chamber deciding on what to do with the war that has broken out between Sisuitil and the Imperium.  At first it was decided that we do nothing.  Then after word reached the halls that Millcc has burned a Mali city to the ground, we knew we had to act.  But how do we respond?  Do we enter on the Malis side?   After many many hours, it was decided that we will invade Mali territory and take over their cities.  We reached a conclusion that Mali government could not hold any cities.  We knew that even after the war and if Mali succeeded, Agarthia would have to be always present to prevent the cities from being taken by someone else.  It was also agreed apon that if we entered on the Mali side that the only way to be truely successful is to enter the Imperium lands.  This was not an option.  Therefor that brought us back to the prior conclusion that we would be in Mali territory indefenitly.  We sent Millcc a letter stating our intentions that we are entering the war, but not against him.  So to prevent a scorched earth scenario and to save the people of Mali, about 1 week ago the 1st Vorlon Division entered Mali lands.  They captured 3 workers and interrogated them.  They will be released into Agarthia where they will be put to work.

Military de-classified report Part 2:

The workers that were captured outside of Walata proved to be very helpful.  They told us of weak spots in the city.  After learning these 'weak spots' our catapults delivered a crippling blow to the defenders.  After the bombardment, the 1st Vorlon Division entered the city.  The battle was brief and we had no casualties.  The city is now under Agarthian control.  General Dunacn Mouskateer praised his men for a job well done.  The men now rest and to regroup.

Military de-classified report Part 3:

As the military was taking up defensive postions in the city of Walata, General Duncan Mouskateer sent two horsemen out to scout the lands east of Walata.  The two scouts stumbled apon a worker fleeing the war zone.  The scouts eventually caught up to the worker and they threw up their arms and pleaded for their lives.  The two scouts tied the worker up and took him back to the city of Walata.  He was interrogated for several hours and then released back into Agarthia.  The 1st Vorlon Division has arrived at the city of Djenna, and the 2nd Shadow Division is enroute to the same location.  We sent Sisuitil a letter stating that it would be in his best interest to evacuate the city.  Intel reports that this will be a bloody battle and if Sisuitil cares at all for his people, then evacuation is the only way.

Military de-classified report Part 4:

In a rare public appearance to the public, the elders have come fourth with new information.  There have been many questions as to why we have entered the war with Millcc of the Imperium.  While all the information stated in the military de-classified reports is accurate, there is a piece of information that is missing.  The elders feel its important to release the details now as victory is only weeks away.  Agarthia needs to grow.  While its sad that we have to expand into a non-hostile nation, our options are small.  With the war that has encompassed the south of our continent, we now have 3 nations that have doubled in size.  Agarthia was left to look at herself and ask the question, do we stay neutral in the recent violence between Millcc and Sisuitil, or do we take 'advantage' of the situation.  Agarthia has not have all that much dialogue with Sisuitil nor did we have any treaties of any kind.  Another driving force is our culture has been of much envy on Sisuitil border cities.  Knowing this led us to believe that a military occupation of the country would be welcomed.  So with this along with what was stated already in the military de-classified reports, the decsion was to take out Sisuitil.

Military de-classifed report Part 5:

Today we continue to bombard the city of Djenna.  Sisuitil refused to surrender, so his bad decision is causing mass casualties.  All have been civilian as far as we can tell.   The number of garrison units have increased in the city in the past few days.  We still believe that in a week, the city will fall.  Reinforcement are arriving shortly to assist in the battle.  This upcoming battle will mark the first battle where we will see tough resistance.  Unless General Duncan Mouskateer can come up with a flawless strategy, we may see casualties like we never have.  Duncan has ordered more bombarding equipment to the battle grounds.  Only time will tell now.

Military de-classified report Part 6:

The roar of the catapults awakened the city of Djenna this morning.  General Duncan Mouskateer gave the order for the attack.  It was a risky move as he knew that he would take losses.  But he could not wait any longer.  When we arrived at the city 2 weeks ago, it only had 4 defenders, but with the lack of catapults, we were at a disadvantage.  The musketmen in the city were a good deterance.  As of this morning, the city had 10 defenders including knights and more musketmen.  Enough said General Duncan, fire.  3 catapults made way for the Agarthian forces.  All of the defenders of Djenna were injured.  After several hours we took the city.  We took the city with a huge cost.  Many of our brave men will not return home.  We dont have an exact count of the dead, but we think we lost somewhere around 10 units.  The most by far in Agarthia history.  But this victory will put an end to our war with Sisuitil.  A few forces will be mopping up the remains of his army.
