Leonardo, incognito and in hiding in the north, has a clandestine meeting with the explorers of the Founders
"I have seen the communication you have recieved from Nuahs, the Mind Controlled. Much as we have tried to reaquaint Agarthia with the facts of the history our continent, they seem to be fixated on Denish propaganda. Let me also welcome you to this part of the world, and give you the fair warning that Nuahs did not.
At the dawn of time, the second settlement of Rohan, Dunharrow, was attacked and destroyed by Aidern. As Aidern pressed on to capture or destroy the capital of Rohan, Henna attacked it from the north. By the design of the Fines, as we in Yourcenae would say ... or perhaps you would say by the design of The Path, Rohan repelled these attacks.
Yourcenae has always been a peaceful people. We were dismayed that Rohan had a knife to its throat in its infancy. We sent observers to the area, to better understand the situation. While camped in the ruins of Dunharrow, Hismes became possessed by the Theodred, who was slain in the Dernish wars and was the son of Theoden, King of Rohan. This ghost caused the body of Hismes to destroy a Dernish work party near Dunharrow.
How did Yourcenae respond? I was sent to calm the diplomatic crisis, and found myself under house arrest in Aidern. Agamemnoff sent a few men with a potion from our Andicle that rendered the ghost helpless and allowed us to retrieve Hismes and exorcise the spirit. No Yourcenaean troops have then, or ever, set foot in Aidern, save this unfortunate possession event.
Henna then founded a city too close to the borders of Youcenae, without any diplomatic discussion. We registered protest, to no avail. Fearing some ill plan from this known aggressor, we sent Singlis of Ilium to watch for Hennan treachery, and he found it, being attacked by three Hennan warriors in neutral lands. After killing two, he succumbed to a third. This is how war with Henna began.
Henna had established a strong production base, and with its now twice proven aggressive stance, had to be contained. Campeche, long a peaceful neighbor of Yourcenae, came to assist us, as did Rohan, seeing an opportunity to weaken its enemy to the north. The Matirarch of Henna refused a peace that would have left her with three of her cities, and thus the war continued to her utter destruction.
After removing the Hennan threat, our Alliance, sometimes known as the Triumvirate, and always refered to by the Dernish "First Murderers" as the "Demonic Triad", returned to the peace that we love. Our alliance was entirely defensive.
You must ask yourselves, whether in light of this true history, if you can trust what Nuahs has been telling you. Ask him about the Agarthian invasion of Avalon, and see if he can convince you that Agarthia had more provocation there than Yourcenae with Henna. I can assure you they did not.
And he refers to his honorable friends, crusading against the "Demonic Triad". Scotland invaded Campeche, purely for the sake of expansion, with mercenaries from Capsavian and from Geronimo. Then, Scotland declared war on Yourcenae, again on Campeche, and now on Rohan. Geronimo has carved its share of one western neighbor, before invading Yourcenae. So who is peaceful? Who is the aggressor?
And through all of this, sits Capsavian the Jailer, not himself at war, pulling the strings on these events. We have heard tales of the exploits of your General SenojNai, how he wonders where the main telepaths of the dokko have gone. We see how the formerly reasonable Agarthians are now mindlessly spouting the propaganda of Aidern. We see the nations of the east all seeming to do the bidding of Aidern.
Perhaps the dokko elites have taken refuge in Aidern? Teleportation may be in their power along with their telepathy. For I see the footprint of mind control in the recent statements from Agarthia, and the recent actions of the eastern agressors.
Tread carefully in this new world, as the works of your old enemies may meet you here as well."
