Hellhound, who just recently replaced AFSoccer, has decided he is unable to continue with the game.

As such, we need a replacement to fill in for him.  If any of you know of someone, please have them sign up here and apply within.  Feel free to give the new guy the access details if nobody has claimed the civ by the time he is ready to get on board.

I am kicking the leader-formerly-known-as-AFSoccer-and-then-Hellhound over to AI now.

Hey dV,

I would have no problem with you taking over the civ, after you retire (or expire) from your present civ.

Are you ready to concoct a new roleplay (or adapt your old one, maybe as Leonardo trying his hand at refugee)?

In the interim, Hellhound will remain as AI.  To be fair, if someone new steps in to take over for the AI, I won't deny them the chance to play.

I believe Oyzar has quit also (3 turns in a row now), so you can put him on AI and look for a sub... he has a pretty strong island city still, and good techs.

For sure, let someone else take it over ... my post was mostly humor ... real life is encroacing on my Civ time, so I am probably not taking on any new Civ responsibilities in the near future.

I have contacted Oyzar, two turns ago, with no response.  Hopefully he is alright, but I agree, it appears he has slipped out of the game quietly.

Oyzar, if we are mistaken in this assumption, by all means please log in and take back your civ.  I will kick it to AI for now.

dV, I know what you mean about civ time, however the offer still stands.

EDIT:  I received a PM from Oyzar;  he has indeed resigned from Chaos and Civility 2.

Not making any promises, but I will keep that in mind ... see how things go.

I'm interested.  A nice, quiet, isolated island sounds like just the place for a displaced, unloved, and misunderstood Pirate King.

I guess it would make sense for both Yourceneans and Campeche pirates to somehow drift across the vast ocean.

You could, of course, speed the process up by resigning from your present nations. Tongue

EDIT:  by the way, I laughed at the "unloved, unwanted" comment. Wink

Or, assuming that there is no way that the two dying nations could effectively be aided by the two leaderless nations, we could temporarily run both ... as there is still a small bit of an epilog to write about Yourcenae ...

Do you really feel you and Snarlin are that far gone with your present nations?  If so, I guess it would not be a problem for you two to run the Hellhound and Oyzar countries.

Up to you two.  We will trust you both not to use your knowledge of the present continent unfairly on the other.

Unless anyone has any objections to this?

Well, I won't speak for Snarlin, but absent some benevolent offer from my attackers (that I don't think will be coming ...), the Youcenaean people will be refugees in a few turns.

I would choose not to run another nation unless all cities under the current one were gone.  "I'm not dead yet!"

Snarlin

Snarlin has a point, and probably more future than Yourcenae has.  If you had willing takers for the other nations, I would say have them take the open slots.

But if there is some urgent game balance reason to have a human in charge of one of them, rather than an AI, and folks don't object, I could run one, briefly or permanently.

If no nation is particularly disadvantaged by having the AI run these two nations, then leave it at that.

(But I bet you don't get much RP out of the AI ...  Cheesy)

There has been nobody step up to take over;  go ahead and do so if you like.  I just ask that you treat it as a new nation (i.e. act as though you do not know anything about the other continent's goings-on).

Have fun, and good luck!
