Hi, we all get one reload per game as per the rules, so I am making mine now ;p  could you please reload to before I logged in this turn?  I had on "auto-promote" units from a gamespy game, and my whole army was promoted very stupidly.  Very annoying (and damaging ;p)

Thanks....

Weird... I checked and auto-promote wasn't on?? Perhaps it turned off when I restarted the game this time,  but I don't think that happens?

if it happened last turn the reload may have to be done for then :/  I can't think of any reason why it would happen unless perhaps the server switched me to AI when it was having difficulties.

Hmm this is very strange... I logged into another game and all my units were upgraded... it's as if, if I used auto-promote in a previous multiplayer game, the game detects it as being on for all the pitbosses I log in to :/.  Perhaps it is a bug... although I think clearing the cache might fix it.

discussing with Oyzar I now know how auto-promote works for pitboss, I figured it would upgrade mid-turn so I assumed it wasn't on last turn, since all my units stayed un-promoted... but it only goes into effect at beginning of turns.

So the reload would have to be be last turn, but it could be the very end of last turn.  Because then I log in then out very quickly, and the pitboss "registers" me as not having auto-promote and doesn't promote all my units on the turn switch.

I guess as soon as Caps logs on ;p so later tonight.

Then the reload would be from last turn, with a couple hours left probably.

now the reload might need to be farther back in the turn... I mean with more time remaining... since I won't be as available all of tomorrow. or, I wouldn't object to Caps logging in and out to turn off my auto-promote.  Just cover your eyes :p

Seems capsavian didn't notice this thread(since he doesn't get email notification on new threads) hence you should probably pm him or something...

Crap, I totally missed this.  I hadn't had time to check the forums or my email this weekend.  OK, will look back at the reload.

Rebooting and loading the oldest autosave I have for you, Levgree/Glaukos.  I hope it's far enough back.

EDIT:  I hope this won't overly mess up the other two wars which are going on in the world.  I do apologize for not catching this reload request sooner, everyone.   Embarrassed

well, the reload turned out pretty significantly worse for me, but I've come out ahead in most other games, so I guess I was due for it.

Sorry to hear that, Elkad. Sad  I'm not sure how else we could have handled this.  Someone was bound to get the short end of the stick whenever random events and combat dice-rolling is involved.

Well, maybe Elkad uses HIS one reload?  Wink

some poor luck just hastens what is probably inevitable anyway, I'll just deal with it.  (and one of my opponents followed up my bad luck with some of his own, which helped somewhat)

I don't think reloads are typically allowed so a person can have another shot at a battle :p  that would make things quite strange... like in a 3 on 1 situation, each of the 3 players in turn could take their reloads, to get the optimal outcome against the player in a decisive battle.
