while consuming the residue of some of Greece's more interesting herbs, Glaukos had a vision.

He envisioned a vast plains... there are several armies of elephants at a distance, enemy or foe, not known.  Glaukos runs across the field, head tilted towards the ground, looking for something.  He sees something glistening half-coverd with dirt, and lunges down and grabs it.  It is a ruby of great size and with perfect complexion. He can see his face in the reflection.  Glauko's face lights up in a grin.  He scrambles up again, but now the elephant armies have surrounded him.  They left out horrifying roars that shake Glaukos to the bone.  With no where to go and them fast approaching, he starts burrowing into the ground where he found the ruby.  After half a minute, the ground underneath him collapses, and he is in a subterranean tunnel, shaking dangerously with all beasts up above it.  Glaukos cautiously walks down the cavern, using the ruby as a light source. Regular beasts like bats emit noises, but there are also unnatural bellows, whistles, and sirens.  Glaukos sees a great light ahead, and walks into it into a huge cavern, filled with large caravans which have large cannons on their fronts.  While moving closer to the caravan, 3 men behind Glaukos yell at him in some strange language.  Glaukos turns to face them.  They are wearing bulky clothes, but no armor.  They have no swords, but a stick which seems it may be some sort of handcannon.  Glaukos speaks loudly "I am Glaukos, Leader of the Greeks, and I demand you take me to your leader!"  They respond by activating their handcannons, which shoot out fire at Glaukos.  Glaukos inhales the fire into his mouth, blows it back at the three men, setting them on fire and screaming.

Glaukos then woke up in his palace chair, sweating profusely.  He moved out to the balcony bed and passed out under the comfortable sheets, with the wind calmly reasserting him back into this world. The seers will analyze his dream in the coming days to discover its hidden meanings.

Great dream sequence story.  Looking forward to seeing how it evolves.
