Only if Tahj Arhiman was here to see what his country has become.  From a litte village, to a country that is supporting thousands of Agarthians.  Viktor, apon completing his country tour, returned home to find that the citizens in Macleod are very unhappy.  They are complaining about it being too crowded.  While Viktor was gone, the elders adopted new labor laws.  It was dubbed by the citizend as slavery.  With this uprising, the man in charge while Viktor was gone, Knarf Arhiman used this new slavery act.  He forced workers to complete a building that was being constructed, which ultimatly resulted in several deaths.  Knarf, which is Viktors 2nd counsin, thought he was acting within the law.  When Viktor returned, he was very concerned about the events that took place while he was gone.  Even now, the population is still unforgiving in Knarfs actions.  Viktor called Knarf into the chambers a few days later to discuss the situation.  Knarf currently holds the postion of governor of states.  Which means he controls the food/production/gold assignments of all the cities of Agarthia.  Currently under Agarthia law, this is the 2nd man in line in case the lord cannot perform his duties.  Knarf explained to Viktor that the uprising needed to be quelled.  Only those who refused were sent to the building to perform long work hours with minimal sleep and food.  This was done as an example to show others that the law must be upheld.  Viktor resonded that we must take other measures first to quell rebellions.  Viktor said he only supports slavery as an option that would be in Agarthias security.  Like a military draft.  This way, the citizens are forced into conscription instead of almost certain death of rushing a buildings construction.  As this law is new, it was never really defined.  Knarf will be pardened in this matter.

It now seems that the countries of Rohan and Aidern finally have reached a peace deal.  Viktor is very happy and proud of myself and Nuahs for dedicating many hours to peace.  I will now spend most of his time doing his new job duties as Foreign Director.  Nuahs, the new Foreign negotiator will spend his time with the elders learning the tasks of negotiating and talking to governements.  This is very important that Nuahs understands that when he talks, he is talking on behalf of Viktor.  Therfor, he must not make statements or judgements that might differ from Viktor.

The state of the nation is doing fine.  We are pleased to announce that we have gained back our land from New Avalon and the Babylonians.  We thank those governments in working with us to acheive this.  Elkad, we thank you for your understanding our situation.   We will be working with the New Avalon government to talk about a land/border treaty.  With our two nations sharing a border, we need to discuss ways to prevent misunderstandings from happening.  Elkad, Nuahs will be contacting you.

<Using people from the city directly into military units(protecting many more citizens) or getting up new cities faster(which leads to more people) is nothing bad. In this world if you concern yourself too much with the individual lives of the people you will lose more people in the long term. We as great leaders must have the ability to sacrifice the few for the good of the many. This is not a time of liberty and emancipation, but people are struggling to survive in this harsh world. Slavery is just an example of the tools used in such times. Passing down statue of leadership and command through generations is another means which can help the nation by ensuring that the general populance have trust in the military and command and hence manage to live more together without quarreling. Another thing that can make people happy is of course the enlightened word of GOD, but even our telepathic skills can't spread that to the entire world!>

Who is voice that I hear?  What is this telepathy?  Who is this race that is talking to us?  Am I dreaming?  This voice tells us to slave people on behalf of the whole country.  I do agree with the slavery of citizens into the military.  I also agree that 'in certain times' that slaving the population may be needed.  I am basically saying that we should try to find other ways to calm uprising.  Perhaps our civilization should be an example to others that we can have liberty, even in these early times.  Viktor will always have the final say.  In fact we called into the slavery act again today to complete a needed building.  The decision was not taken lightly, but with the lack of 'happy' resources and buildings at the moment, we had no choice.  We tried to avoid it, but the city was on the verge of a -3 happiness, so we took care of that.

OOC: No wonder your score is so low if you let your cities grow far into unhappiness...
