Giant fishing boats spotted off coast
Dernport, Aidern 1750 BCE

The fishermen and citizens up and down the Dernish coastal region are abuzz with news of what appears to be a huge fishing boat.

The oversized boat arrived near the shores of Aidern sometime last week, and has slowly plied the waters, making its way ever south.

"Thet'd be a fishin' boat," local fisherman TollyBluefin exclaimed, "tuh put all of us outta work!"

The mead hall has been awash with frenzy, each voice seemingly possessing its own theory as to the purpose of the strange vessel, and its reason for arriving in Dernish waters.

The local Umber Guard militia exhibited a more cautious enthusiasm.  As the local Miralay (captain) noted while inspecting a conscripted soldier's leather armor, "Might be they're friendly, might be they're not so friendly.  We will be ready to greet them either way."
