Millcc needs to register his leader.  I would like to talk to him.

I don't know of anyone named Zen?

millcc does have a forum account -- "chris" is his username, although I don't think he checks in here often.

This would be a good time to remind everyone to try to keep your username and leader name consistent, to avoid confusion when someone wants to contact you.

I'm just getting my games confused.  That message was meant for a different forum. Huh

Looks very intriguing - with a lot of changes that will have impact later in the game... not so much now.

Wow, I have never seen a patch list so long before!  Granted, that just underscores how many bugs existed in the game.  Thankfully, we are not far enough into this game for any changes to really impact us just yet, as Maltman indicated.

Thanks for posting this, Whiplash.  I will upgrade the pitboss server as soon as I find out about the patch being released.

I can't join.  A player named Regennald Skarsgard is constantly in the game and after I get the "connected to peer...." message I get the network socket error message and am disconnected.  I've tried this several times over a span of 2 hours.

Civstats shows this player as having finished the turn.

edit:  Ok, finally got in.

Whiplash...I noticed you had trouble logging in one time when I was logged in as well.  Have you recently upgraded your firewall? If you are running ZoneAlarm (as I am) you will need to either adjust your port settings, or just temporarily turn your firewall to "medium" protection while in Civ.

Otherwise, you will probably continue to have login issues, and even more so as the turns take longer for players to complete.

Glad you were able to take your turn though.  Looks like you have today's turn to take yet, but good to see it's working for you more or less.

I'm not running a firewall.  I'm playing in many games and have not experienced this b4.

It would be if I surfed all over the place.  I only visit a few reliable sites.  I do get occasional hacks, but they are harmless.

Either classical hero or the host have patched, it seems.

We need a pause for patching.

I have patched because the host has patched.  I tried to get in without the patch, but then I saw the notice and once I patched I was able to play the game again.

Yes, since everyone has to be running the same version, once one has patched, all must.  Well, all who are connected at the same time (be it real-time or via pitboss).

So yes, you will need to update your game before you can log into the pitboss server.   This patch smashes innumerable bugs, and is worth the time to install.  Smiley

I'll patch when I get home tonight. Lobby your other hosts to patch too (I'm doing that)... because this is a significant and good patch.

If some of them are slow - ask them (or Capsavian) to pause the game to give everyone a chance to patch.

Yes, the problem is for those who are playing in many games.  If I patch now to play this one, I can't play some of the others.  A 24 hour pause would probably work.
