Anyone having problems with the game connecting?  It won't even go out and try the ip address.  Just says connection failed.

Firewall issues, possibly?  And you verified you are using the new IP, I trust?

try turning your Firewall off once, restart Civ and see if that helps.  Of course, don't leave your firewall off for long, but you can learn if that's the problem and rectify it.

If you're using Windows Firewall, you will need to double-check that Civilization is enabled for access.

Hope that helps!

The pitboss program / civstats uploader is very buggy, so if something weird happened(like it was unable to make an autosave), it'll freeze and people will be unable to login until the host clicks ok...

i figured out my problem, kinda.  I couldn't just copy and paste the ip address from the website, I actually had to type it in.  The weird thing is though that it doesn't automatically keep my name and ip address in there anymore like it used to a couple days ago.  Now it comes up with "Administrator" as my leader name and nothing in the ip address.  Probably my computers fault somewhere, if anyone else knows whats wrong and has an idea that would be cool.

The server never went down, though it's possible my ISP could have had temporary issues during the night.  Though, this morning everything has been working just fine, and I see some had their turns taken care of already.

I find that when I load the mod, the name often comes up as "owner" (apparently a default name) and no IP in the box.  Particularly if I come here after other BTS pitboss not using 40Civ mod.  I am able to paste IP addresses in at all times, so don't know why that should be a problem.

Obviously it is just cache...Maybe you've deleted or done something to the settings with cache?

Received word from WarningU2 that he's experiencing computer problems & is unlikely to be able to play any turns before the weekend.

Thanks for letting us know.  If he decides he cannot join us at the start of the new week, we can temporarily kick his civ to AI, so he isn't just skipping turns.
