The theme I would like to use is a Greek mythology theme and I would like to rename my civ to Myrmidones.

Myrmidones are an ancient/mythological Greek tribe made famous by their king Achilles, who led them to the Trojian war.

Thank you!

Well, I hope that the fauxGreek theme being used in Yourcenae does not clash with your Greek Mythology theme ...  Cheesy

Perhaps Achilles and Agamemnoff can get along better in this reality than the original ...

Hi,

I can replace slaze. Would be nice if I could receive the connection details before the current turn ends (haven't been able to contact slaze about it yet).

Hello Rusten!  Too bad I'll probably not get a chance to meet you before dying. ;P

I think Slaze has to get kicked to AI before you can take over his civ.  I'd drop Capsavian Hopewell a PM to let him know, as he doesn't appear to have been online today.

Welcome, Rusten (thank you, Oyzar the Recruiter).

I have added you to the group, and you can now access the login info:  http://www.chaosciv.com/index.php/topic,271.0.html

I have bumped Slaze to AI and unregistered him from CivStats:  http://www.civstats.com/viewgame.php?gameid=1015

If you would like your own embassy in these forums, that would be very encouraged--just let me know what your nation's name is.  This is meant as an RP game first and foremost (even as war is plentiful!).

Once again, welcome to Chaos and Civility!

Well, it seems that the role everyone wants to play is warmonger!  Wink

So I am reluctantly following the crowd.

Yes I regrettably have to inform you that I must withdraw, and I have sent a message over to Rusten to take it over.  (I am away in San Francisco for the weekend and have trouble reaching a computer.)

There was an issue involving a settler which could have been negociated at favorable odds but as I had left it, thing could have been "left out to dry" so to speak.  I cannot axcess the save so I have no way of knowing, but If Rusten doesn't find that settler when opening the save I would like to request a reload, to 2575 BC.

I'm sorry if i have come at you to late, and i things have moved on well enough then so be it.  It sucks that I have to drop out, but i don't have axcess to civ right now, and won't for a long time.  Thanks oyzar for the sub so quickly, and good luck to all in this game.

I think that settler is still around so a reload is (probably) not necessary/wanted. I'm not fully sure yet (would need some clarification from slaze first) but I'd assume things are ok.

Absolutely!  I didn't realize Tommy was that far gone.

If he wants to take over Hoplosternum's old civ, he's more than welcome to.  It would appear the AI has done a decent job making it thrive (judging from points).

I will PM Tommy.

Hey all,

this post is just to note that I'll sub for oyzar during his vacation. I've discussed the position with him quite thoroughly so I'll try to play as close to his style and policies as possible. Smiley

Cheers,

/Niklas

That's a shame to hear - you've been a most, um, persistent opponent  Cheesy

Just to check - does this mean you won't be playing this current turn (245BC)? Technically I'm after you in the turn order, but if you're moving to AI (and our troops aren't particularly close at the moment) I don't think it will make much difference if I go first - and it would be far more convenient for me than waiting until this evening.

Merry Christmas and enjoy your holiday. You never know, there may still be something left when you get back!

Sorry to see you go, but it works out that way sometimes.  We really appreciate your persistence even when it seemed all hope was lost.  You can be proud that it took three nations to take you down. Smiley

Merry Christmas, and hope you will join us for Chaos and Civility 3.
